Most Awesome Game Ever!
December 11, 2002

Stock Market is the most awesome game ever invented! We have the 1968 Deluxe edition. I know there is also a 1963 version, and I believe, a 1981 version. My entire family was raised playing this game and we are still playing it at least once a month. You can make it as quick or as long as you want to. My husband and I once played for 3 consecutive days.

Did Whitman or Western Publishing come out with this game?
August 13, 2002

We have a copy of Stock Market and it says right on the board that Western Publishing made the game. This game is played by rolling the die and placing a game piece on the board by a number on the die. 2/12 give you $400.00, 3/11 give you $300, 4/10 give you $200, 5/9 give you $100. The rest of the numbers give you nothing. The first person to $1000.00 gets to enter the game board (you need the money to buy stocks anyway). Stocks multiply in the inner circles and the stock market goes up and down with the middle gauge. You can loose all your stock at the lowest price and you can pay penalties just like in life. We enjoy this game immensely and would like to buy a newer version of the same game. Anyone else have this game?

A terrific goody-but-oldy!
May 22, 2001

I've played this game since I was old enough to count, i.e., the mid-70's. What a great game! Simple to learn, fun to master. As another reviewer mentioned, it's fun to set your own limits for the winning level of assets.

This game is fun to play by yourself or with others. For teaching kids how to quickly add and multiply in addition to the basic behavior of the stock market, there's perhaps no game better.
