Product Description

In this short game, you roll the die and move your pieces as quickly as possible from your start zone, around the board, and into your goal. At the same time you try to land on your opponents pieces and send them back to their start zone.

The white spaces are the track the pieces must follow. The colored space marked A is the start space for the corresponding colored pieces. The B spaces are the holding zone for pieces waiting to move. The a, b, c and d spaces are the goal spaces of the corresponding color.

Whoever first brings their four pieces home wins the game.

True German Classic
February 22, 2004

I used to play Mensch aergere Dich nicht with my German step-dad who was from Berlin when I was a kid about twenty-five years ago. Hours of fun. Found out later on from students visiting from Germany that the game is quite well known in Germany. Mille was our favorite.

One of the classics...
March 30, 2000

'Mensch aergere Dich nicht!' ('Don't get aggravated man!') is one of the classic German board games, having been produced for over 50 years. Loosely based on Pacheesi, the game is a race game in which each player tries to get one's pawns around the board to one's home base. As you travel, landing on another's pawn sends them back to the start. Sound familiar? The U.S. game Aggravation is based on 'Mensch'. Unlike Pacheesi, there is no blocking, no safe spaces, an no bonus for knocking or coming home.

The Schmidt Spiele version is nicely done with wooden pawns and dice, and a two sided board for extra variety.
