Very Shoddy Work
December 20, 2004
They stole the idea from SceneIT which is why they had to put out a game of such horrible quality as quickly as possible (SceneIt? was gaining popularity VERY quickly). The DVD is the worst part about this game. I am appalled that they wasted my money in this fashion and I now do my best to let everyone know that the original idea form SceneIt? is MUCH MUCH better. There are so many flaws in this game it is hard to enumerate them all. The video questions are very simple, not varied, of poor quality and don't come up very often. Just read some of the other reviews. I don't know who is giving this game 5 stars but I suspect they were ready to have a good time with anything thrown their way. While that is nice and comendable, it does not give a good review for others to follow. This game is very bad. Take my word for it and read the reviews for SceneIT?
Suckered again!
September 01, 2005

The designers of Trivial Pursuit must be geniuses. Actually, I'm not even saying that because they have difficult questions. They must be geniuses because they convinced me (and others) to purchase another game I'll never be able to play.

DVD gaming is very addictive, and so I have purchased every single DVD game I have seen in stores. This resulted in a big mistake on my part. Purchasing Trivial Pursuit: DVD Pop Culture was not wise.

What a waste of money! Here are the problems with this game:

  1. When will I learn that I'm not as smart as Trivial Pursuit wants me to be? These questions are just as difficult as the other Trivial Pursuit games.

  2. The DVD is only supposed to be used for "wedge" questions. In other words it is involved in less than a quarter of the game.

  3. The DVD is very poorly made, it does not have that professionally-created feel of the Scene It games.

Don't be fooled. This game is just as bad as regular Trivial Pursuit. The DVD does not add anything (except more dollars in the price) to this game. Trivial Pursuit: DVD Pop Culture is for trivia lovers only!
