Shady crooks have hidden in the park. The detectives throw the die and, according to the number of dots, tilt the game board down carefully once, twice or three times by pushing on one of the tilting marks. All the detectives and the criminal start to move! If a detective and the crook land on neighboring squares, the detective has caught the crook and receives a reward card. Reward cards show different points depending on how dangerous the crook was. The detective who catches the most dangerous crooks will collect the most points and win!
This game is about as good as a kids' game gets: The board and pieces are very cool, and the gimmick of tilting the board draws kids right in and makes them want to participate. The game lends itself to both competitive and cooperative styles of play. The game can be played and enjoyed both by kids who tilt the board pretty much at random, and by kids who want to sit and analyze the board position in order to find the optimal move. The playing time is quick and often leaves the children asking to play again.
