The Good, the Bad (and it's Ugly, too).
December 27, 2000

I really like this set, even if only for the Magny-Cours - France track. While Monza - Italy is rather unimaginative and mundane (even the fall colors on the terrain are ugly), the Magny-Cours track is very long, owing to the way it folds back on itself to use most of the board space. I consider it a close-cousin of the later Buenos Aires circuit for length and fun.

I rate Magny-Cours as an 'A' (5-stars); Monza as a 'C' (2.5 stars). Because of this, I rate the set as 4-stars.

Sometimes ya gotta take the Good with the Bad. Get it for the Magny-Cours track, and play the Monza side only to gain a greater appreciation for your other tracks.
