Product Description

Leapfrog is a fun, family game simple enough for younger gamers to play but with sufficient depth to interest seasoned gamers. The game is played over three races: a fast race, a slow race and a brave race.

Each player acts simultaneously so there is no downtime between turns. Race order and tadpole tokens mean that you will still have a chance of winning even going into the last race. Points are scored depending on race position but also for collecting tadpoles. Remember, only frogs that have not had their legs eaten can win the game!

Fast & Fun
January 21, 2005
Leapfrog is a fast fun with great pieces -- great in a group, and even the solitaire version is interesting. The game is always played with 6 colorful frogs and their lillypads, so if you have less than 6 players, the other frogs are played randomly. But they seem to be "robo-frogs" because they still present a challenge. The game is played in 3 races, each race played in six rounds where you try to out-jump the other frogs. But watch out, they are trying to jump you as well. Each player has 6 tokens and can jump from 1 to 6 in each round of the round -- will you jump far now, but risk a long fall to the bottom? And watch out for the third race -- one of the frogs is going to end up as dinner! This game plays very quickly, is fun, yet challenging with a lot of replay value. The solitaire version is also fun, which is extremely rare in a multi-player game. The whole bunch of frogs comes in a handy travel case so you can easily take this with you. Also very good with kids over 8 or so. Highly recommended!
