Product Description

The battle is getting tougher. New heroes are needed to lead the armies to victory. Jandar, Ullar, Utgar and Einar are seeking reinforcements. These unique heroes bring special powers and abilities to our armies. The Kyrie's ability to fly enables them to move over obstacles including water, ruins and their enemies. The Venoc Warlord can slither through water without stopping, while the human and orc heroes add strength to their comrades.

A nice, but mixed addition
December 08, 2007

This set adds five unique heroes to the heroscape collection.

Kelda the Kyrie warrior, though weak for a hero, has the ability to fly, and features the ability heal allied hero's, a useful property.

Tornak, an orc riding a raptor is a moderately powerful champion who enhances other orc warriors. it also looks very nice, especially the raptor.

Marcus Decimus Gallus is generally not a very good piece. modeled after a roman centurion, he is only worth using with other expansions that provide soldiers.

Taelord the Kyrie warrior is almost certainly the most overvalued piece in the game. with only mediocre stats, his only preferable factor is his attack enhancement and flying.

Finally their is the Venoc warlord (know as "mittens", among fans for his metal gaunlets) my personal favorite hero in the set, he offers decent stats, being very fast and able to move through water. his full potential is only realized however, with other viper squads from other expansions. With his snake-like body, he is the coolest looking figure in the set, possibly the entire game.
