Narnia version almost worthless
November 03, 2006

The Narnia version of stratego is virtually worthless.

I say virtually because the pieces are kind of nice (although I did end up with two difference colored red pieces which made placing the stickers very important).

I say worthless because its only value is as a standard stratego game. The "Narnia" rules although interesting are totally flawed. To prove this to a friend I created a strategy for the blue (evil) that was guaranteed to win 100% of the time. Perhaps you could modify them to make them more even, or you could give your child the advantage of playing the evil side, but for a real game, they are not worth having.

Advice: Buy the standard stratego game (great game) or a different variant, the Narnia version is nothing special.
