The Maker's agenda is to create 5 horizontal rows of the same color by shifting or repositioning the discs that the Breaker puts in place. The Breaker's aim is to block the Maker from doing so.
The Breaker draws 5 discs from the bag and rolls one into each ramp track. The Maker may reposition any 1 disc to a new location The Breaker draws another disc and rolls it down a track. The Maker may shift any 1 disc to a new location Each move can set the discs in motion, creating better -- or perhaps worse -- color sequences! Make Five is an interesting word game that's largely flown under the radar despite being from a more mainstream publisher. Letter tiles are drawn, to determine letters that all players place simultaneously in their own 5x5 grid, trying to create point scoring words. It's the kind of game that could be enjoyed by fans of Scrabble and other word games. The public domain game Word Squares which inspired Make Five is worth trying at zero cost if this kind of game sounds like it might be of interest to you.
