The game of many new friendships! Cheerful children from all over the world hold hands in this game when the picture boards are placed together correctly.
these beautiful tiles of children of all ethnicities in all kinds of beautiful ethnic costumes are a pleasure to handle and arrange however you want. there are very simple "rules" to play by, but our family spent a lot of time just making up ways to lay them out. The children on all the tiles reach out to edges of the tiles to "hold hands" with the children on the adjoining tiles, either straight out or around a corner. the official rules involve rolling the two dice, which tell you to use either or boy or a girl tile either wearing or not wearing a hat - that's it. there is virtually no element of competition in the game, or doesn't need to be, and thus no frustration, humiliation, or anger in playing. Just lovely conversations around what ethnicity this child may be, which costumes are favorites, whether you can make the tiles come out to form a closed loop or not, how to alternate them to make a pleasing pattern, etc. all three of our children loved playing with these tiles, and we parents never got tired of them. the best game ever for the very young!
