Soccer Tactics World combines the strategy of Soccer with the heart of the game. Eleven players per team play on a traditional full-length field. The game includes dribbling, passing, capturing the ball, and intense battles for ball control. But don't get too rough: red and yellow cards are included in the game. There are long and short passes as well as offensive and defensive moves and strategies. The game includes free kicks, goal kicks, corner kicks, and penalty kicks. Don't be caught off-side!
You can play a full 90-minute game or set you own game length. STW plays like the real thing for pure soccer emotion!

This is a fun board game about the beautiful game: Soccer. Or is it called Football? No matter what you call it, it's still a beautiful game! And so is this: Soccer Tactics World. A first edition appeared around the time of the 2006 World Cup in Germany with the title "Fussball Taktik 2006", and was subsequently released in English the following year as "Soccer Tactics World". It has appeared more recently again in a new and improved international edition.
It's very well themed, with the game mechanics married nicely to the theme. This makes the rules very intuitive to learn because they are essentially the same as soccer, with adjustments made in order to limit ball and player movement with the help of dice. The flexible game length using the included digital game timer is also a real strength. While there is a lot of dice rolling, you don't have the feeling that the game is simply a luck fest decided by randomness - because you're the one deciding which player to move and to where, and where to move the ball, and these positional aspects of the game are key to set yourself up for creating chances and putting yourself into a scoring position. And that's the big draw-card of this game - that it simulates the look and feel, the ebb and flow of a real game of soccer: you move your 11 players around the field, you pass, kick and capture the ball, and you shoot for goal. As such, this is a game with a huge appeal for soccer fans.
So if you're a fan of soccer, you're almost certain to love this game - whether you're a gamer or not! As long as you don't mind some dice rolling, and are looking for a game that is fun and thematic, Soccer Tactics does a great job of filling a niche in gaming that most sports fans can't get enough of! The only thing closer to the feel of soccer would be a dexterity game, or the beautiful game itself on a real field. Without the real thing, this is the next best option, and it's still a beautiful game. Highly recommended for soccer fans!
