Action packed, exciting, funky, and fast. Full of risk suspense and surprise! Includes three versions to suit all ages!
BreakScore -- This is a classic risk-taking board game of challenge, chance and skill. Highly recommended for families, friends and games enthusiasts, young and old, it's ideal for 2-4 players. In this game everyone is always in with a chance so, be aware, even when victory or defeat may seem certain, things can still happen to surprise you. It's exciting and unpredictable. There is no repetition and the lead can change dramatically from one turn to the next, depending on the cards, dice and the fickle finger of fate! You'll find yourself laughing -- or groaning -- and your heart beat is sure to get racing!
Champ-Play -- A no-holds-barred version of the classic game of BreakScore that's seriously fun for two or more cunning and competitive board game players who know the rules, can hold their nerve and enjoy a laugh!
Break-Away -- This is a fast paced race and chase board game for 2-4 players that's easy to learn and fun to play. Perfect to play when time is short, this game helps younger players develop math, memory and social skills. It also has strategic subtleties that don't always meet the eye, which make it the ideal lead-in to BreakScore.
I bought a game of Breakscore 2 years ago and haven't been disappointed. Our family plays regularly and we like it that anyone can win. Of the three games we tend to play Champ Play the most because we're competitive and like the points scoring system. Having said that I found Break-Away a good interlude and is also an excellent game for younger players to start out on. I highly recommend Breakscore!
This game is fun for the whole family. There is enough luck for the kids, and enough tactics for the grown-ups. You're never out of the game, because you can get some huge scores with a good run of dice with the assistance of "Boomer" and "Zouch" cards that can dramatically change your position, so there's no runaway leader problem. Never a dull moment, full of excitement and groans. Highly recommended!
For the amount of money spent on this game, quality wise, it was very poorly made. The board is no more than a piece of card board. Cards are printed and "torn apart" rather than manufactured separately. A few of the corners tore when separating, thus leaving the cards "marked" from the back. The games runs from simply going around the board like a Chutes and Ladders game to a glorified yahtzee game. Written directions were hard to follow but are similar to a computer game the older kids had played at one point so we were able to "follow" along the with the directions. We have many age levels in our household and it didn't appeal to anyone in the house.
