Hero: Immortal King takes the concepts of a traditional role-playing game, and turns it into a head-to-head (or solitaire) card game between the adventurers and the dungeon. One player leads the adventurers down a dangerous corridor (represented by a deck of cards), while the other player manages the dungeon and its dangers. The adventurers win by defeating the final monster in the dungeon. The dungeon wins if the adventurers lose all their Courage -- represented by tokens.

I tried this game in New York during the last Toy Fair, this is a fast and fun card game. This game was a real surprise, after the 1st game it’s impossible to stop, play dungeon, play adventurers, play dungeon, and play adventurers… I really like it. I just tried the 1st box; there are 2 more boxes, with more heroes and power. Try this game asap !!!
This game was a real surprise in France during last Christmas, this is a game for 1 or 2 players. If you don’t like Dice and Rock/Paper/Cissor (RPC), don’t try it ! If you like Fun, Donjon, Monster, Combo, Dice and RPC go for it !
In the solo mode, you play the adventurers and you fight versus the donjon, using a scenario. In the 1v1 mode, one player play the donjon and the second play the adventurers, each round of play the heroes will try to fight a monster, using dice or RPC. The master of the donjon can switch monster to try to make fight harder to the adventurer or try to lock them !
There are 3 special campaigns that can be downloaded, with new heroes and news rules. The last campaign included rules to play 2 team of adventurer’s vs 1 donjon. And Asmodée told the next campaign will have rules for 3 players.
I play this game with my son (9 year) and my daughter (12year) and they really like it.
Duration of a game is generally 20mn.
You gonna love it!
