Harry Potter Clue adds depth to regular Clue and has good improvements. Your character is not pulled into a room when somebody "suggests" you. The extra cards not passed out are put in the center which everybody must travel to view. Each turn there is a chance the "Dark Mark" appears and something bad happening to multiple players. The rotating doors and passageways are a cool twist.
However one annoyance is the House Points. You can lose the game if you lose your House Points before the who/where/what is solved. Each time the Dark Mark appears you have a high likelihood of losing points. The only prevention is obtaining "Help" cards. The first game I played I lost all my House Points before making any Suggestions. The second game I played I spent a lot of time obtaining Help cards but still lost all House Points, and again never got to make a Suggestion. Of these two 4 player games, 1 or 2 players in each game got knocked out by House Points. This means there is essentially a time limit on the game. You may need to rush to guess the who/where/what before you run out of House Points.
Of course this could have been bad luck. But overall an improvement over regular Clue I think.
