Each player controls 1-3 ships and is trying to capture the most fish, and the most valuable fish, in the ocean. A t the start of the game, the board is loaded with blue fish (worth 1 point), white fish (2 points) and a single gray fish (5 points); players start with two gray fish and a hand of three movement cards.
On a turn, you either move ships or move fish. In both cases, you play movement cards from your hand to show where the objects go; each card moves the object only one space. If you move a ship onto a fish, you collect the fish. If you move a fish onto another fish, they're now in school together and exchanging text messages every three minutes. If the fish move onto a boat, they are captured. In both cases, at the end of your turn, you draw cards equal to the number on the final space to which you moved, with a maximum hand size of seven.
While the gray fish are worth five points, the ones in your supply at the start of the game cost you five points. At the end of one of your turns, before drawing cards, you can choose to place one of these gray fish on the board to accompany at least one other fish already on that space. If the fish is still around on the next turn, hooray, you can now catch it and add it to stash. After going through the deck 2-3 times, depending on the number of players, the game ends and the player with the most points wins.
