Product Description

Each turn, one player rolls four symbol dice -- with sides that show a triangle, circle and cross -- then arranges these dice in some kind of formation in which all of the dice touch, such as a square, a line, an "s" and so on. Each player must then add this formation of symbols to her own 7x7 gameboard, rotating the formation as desired or even placing some of the formation over the edge of the board, thereby throwing away those symbols. The one restriction is that you can't orient the formation so that a symbol would overlap one already on your board.

Once any player has completed her grid or is stuck with spaces that can't be filled, the game ends. To score, you look for groups of symbols that are adjacent to one another, with diagonal connections not counting. For any group with fewer than five symbols, as well as for empty spaces, you cross them out; for all of the remaining groups, you count the number of groups of each symbol and multiply that by the total number of symbols of that type. For example, you might have two groups of circles with 13 total circles, which means you score 26 points. Sum the scores for the three types of symbols; high score wins.
