In this picture caption matching game, the judge draws a picture from the deck and shows everyone, each player then chooses the best matching picture caption card from their hand, and places it face down on the table. The judge reads all the cards aloud and chooses his favorite. The player who bid the funniest card, wins!

Nothing complicated here. We bought this in time for our family game night at church, and it went over pretty well. It has all of the characteristics of a good game for this type. The rules can be learned in about a sentence, you can play with a variable number of players, everyone gets to laugh a lot, and you have enough fun that only the hardcores really care who wins.
The rules call for 7 caption cards in your hand. So beyond always playing what appears to be best caption, a strategy might be to dump a poor caption if you don't have a likely winner in hopes of drawing a better replacement card. Most of the captions are fairly common phrases, so the trick is finding the right picture. Like Apples to Apples, the judge rotates after each caption is picked, so a knowledge of the current judge's sense of humor is useful.
The game comes with suggestions for rules variations, and you could easily think up your own. The quality of the game components is okay, but the cards will probably wear out fairly quickly.
A few of the captions might be a little naughty to the very prudish, but I don't think there was anything that would have embarrassed me in front of our minister. The ages 8 and up rating is pretty accurate. Kids about 3rd grade and up are savvy enough to come up with some pretty good caption matches.
