Belgian publisher Repos Production has released a few versions of Peter Sarrett's charades-based party game Time's Up! in French, including Time's Up! – Game Geek in which players must get their partners to guess game names. The newest entry in the Time's Up! family is, well, Time's Up! – Family, a version designed for adults to play with children or children to play on their own.
The basics of game play in Time's Up! – Family remain the same as in the original game: You're trying to get your partner to guess something, and in the first round of play you can say almost anything, while in the second round you can say at most one word and in the third round you can only act out clues. Differences in this version include (1) allowing players to pass in the first round if a card is too difficult, (2) allowing players to sing songs in round three, and (3) replacing the celebrity names that players normally guess with kid-friendly occupations, animals and objects. (Note that Time's Up! – Family is currently available only in French.)
