Sometimes it feels that if you wait long enough, every game will return to the shelves, whether in its original form or in a "new and improved" version. I posted an item yesterday about the return of Code 777 bearing nothing more than the new name of Tricoda. Now Michael Schacht's Industria is the subject of a new release, and with Ystari Games being the publisher of record the name has been slightly altered to appease conspiracy theorists and obsessives.
Industry – first published by Queen Games in 2003 – will once again by for 3-4 players, ages 10 and up, with a playing time of 75 minutes. While the game play will mostly match that of the first edition, Ystari and Schacht have made slight changes that should increase player tension. According to Ystari publisher Cyril Demaegd, Schacht has said, "I thought the previous one was 90% finished, and this new version is at 100%."
Ystari plans to release Industry before the end of Q2 2010, with Asmodee handling distribution in Europe. No distributor has been determined yet for the U.S. and elsewhere, but the game will be released outside Europe.
