First time I've come upon The Dice Tower podcast - excellent. A friend told me that railroad games were rated. A decent job, although I must disagree with one of the presenter's comments on the AH RR game, Rail Baron. In my heyday I owned about 750 games and if I had to cull the group to ten, Rail Baron would have been an automatic selection. It still plays fresh, not clunky, as was reported. And the endgame can be a riot, unlike the crayon games, where who's going to win is often guessed long in advance. Alternately, at 59 years old, there is a very real chance I'll be dead before completing one of the 18XX games (I've played them twice - truly superb mechanics)!
Again, great podcast! Thanks.
