In this show, we give a couple of character stereotypes, talk about the future of game publishing, and the horror of moving games. The Dice Tower gang give info and tips for Origins 2010, and Geoff eulogizes Marvin Gardner. Erik talks about D6 shooters, Giles about Traders of Carthage, and we finish up the show with our top ten games that give 'bang for the buck'.

Me neither! WMP doesn't recognize the file on my laptop or my desktop. I fear something's wrong with the file. It also has no title.

Windows Media Player didn't play the file for me either, but it appears to work fine in QuickTime and GOM Player.

While there are those who will continue to slap their initial designs up for the world to see, I disagree with the "raw game" portion of the rant. The method of distribution shouldn't affect the developmental process. It happens at the end. Prototypes should have been put before other eyes, balanced and polished beforehand.

The problem is that, without a company to support them, it's up to developers to find the resources to do so. (As Eric suggested.) Some will. Some won't. Print-on-demand services cater to both serious developers and casual content creators. There's a place for both, but the latter usually outnumbers the former. Unfortunately, it may take a critical mass of motivated players before enough reviews can be written for a visitor to distinguish between the two.

Disclaimer: I'm a wannabe who is currently working on a digital card game through BYOND in an attempt to work the kinks out before releasing a physical version through The Game Crafter. I've been fortunate enough to have a few people offer feedback online.
